*** FCP Tourney-2022 ended with round 30 ... ***

I wrote this in the news before!?
After round 30 I will start with the basic database from FCP Tourney-2022 a new rating list,
called FCP Tourney-KI. Same conditions I am using for FCP Tourney-2022.

I hold the Shredder 12 GUI *.sto file and added all the engine updates in one step at first.

Engine names will be much shorter and for that reason I have a bit work for reorganization.
For FCP Tourney-KI a new selection on my webpage will be open.

I hope I can start around January 02nd, 2022!

To the end of the FCP Tourney-2022 I changed the Elo to 3176 = Cat. XXXVIII
(avg. of 41 participate eng.) set for Shredder 12 GUI.

*** Important changes ... ***

The rounds have been reduced from 50 to 30.
We are thinking 1.200 games at first per engine are enough.

With the advantage: The tourney can run a longer time because new engines updates
can replaced old versions and more or less a new rating list with TOP-41 in
tournament mode will be the final result.

FCP Tourney-2022 will run until approx December 31st, 2021.

Start of January, 2022 I will replaced ...

Start point for FCP Tourney-KI

01. +75 Elo Rodent 1.0 NN replaced Demolito 2021-07-09
02. +75 Elo Gogobello 3.0 NN replaced Combusken 1.4.0
03. +40 Elo Wasp 4.5 replaced Nirvanachess 2.5
04. +10 Elo Zahak 9.0
05. +15 Elo Koivisto 7.9 NN
06. +20 Elo Arasan 23.2 NN
07. + 5 Elo Stash 32
08. + 5 Elo Seer 2.4.0 NN
09. +45 Elo Berserk 8.5 NN
10. +35 Elo Lc0 0.28.2 752187 CPU
11. +75 Elo Revenge 2.0 NN
12. +15 Elo Dragon 2.6 NN (Komodo)
13. +10 Elo Stockfish 311221 NN dev
14. +15 Elo RubiChess 2021 NN

15. +50 Elo rofChade 2.313 NN dev
16. +30 Elo Wasp 5.20 NN

= +520 Elo : 41 = 12,68
= Tournament Elo will be switch from avg. 3176 to avg. 3188
= Cat. XXXVIII

Wasp 5.20 NN will be available around 01.01. - 02.01.2022.
- Elo gain = ~ 20-30
- FRC support
- better Raspberry compatibility
- some improvements for lesser short draws
- some other improvements to 5.0

For Wasp 5.1 NN it will be a fight with Xiphos 0.6 for place 17.

Means, each of the 16 engines will repeat the 1.200 games.
During this time no statistic updates / ratings are available.

Of course, in live mode you can follow!

*** Stockfish 151121 & Demolito 2021-07-09 ... ***

1. I replaced Stockfish 14.1 with Stockfish 151121 for three reasons!
   a.
I had in the Stockfish 14.1 directory the NN file.
Not necessary for the embedded version.
   b. In the official 14.1 version the BMI2 missed.
On Intel and AMD are running the AVX2 file.
   c. The current dev. version is maybe a little bit stronger.

2. I replaced Demolito 2021-10-21 PEXT x64 with Demolito 2021-07-09 x64 for two reasons!
   a. It seems that Demolito 2021-07-09 x64 is stronger as the current version.
      38.5 / 152 2561.00 25.33% 2983 (this results looks not good).
      Have a look in News-05!
   b. I forgot to add the POPCNT executable on Ryzen 9 5950x.
For Demonlito 2021-10-21 I used the PEXT version on Ryzen 9 5950x.

Two problems fixed after I checked all configurations again!

*** Zahak 8.4 ... ***

Amanj Sherwany (Kurdistan) sent Zahak 8.4 dev. for FCP Tourney-2022.
An idea by Jörg Burwitz (Germany), Engine-Tester & gave some hints for engine configurations!

The programmer of Zahak wrote me that Zahak 8.4 dev. is around 80 weaker as Weiss 2.0.
CEGT - 20 Elo = FCP Elo
Shredder 13 = 3125 Elo!

Could be possible that Zahak 8.4 dev. have around 3075 Elo and is safe in the currently TOP-41.

I replaced Wasp 4.50 with Zahak 8.4.
John Stanback wrote me, it makes no sense to added 2x Wasp in FCP Tourney-2022.

Wasp 5.0 will be available in approx. 5-7 days and will be replaced later Wasp 4.66 NN dev.

Thanks, Amanj and Jörg (a very nice idea).

We wish Amanj good luck with Zahak for our little event ... FCP Tourney-2022.

*** FCP Tourney-2022, Test-Tourney 2 ***

With the time control: 40 moves in 8 minutes "repeatedly" I started a test-gauntlet
Wasp 4.65 NN Modern x64 vs. 40 engines I have interest to use for FCP Tourney-2022.

3.200 games, 80 games per match, on two of my three chess-systems = 26 cores.
The third chess-system isn't ready for take-off on runway FCP Tourney-2022.
I am working on it.

I have interest to test the stability of participate engines and looking a bit in the brand new
beta version of Wasp. Wasp 4.65 NN is around 50-60 Elo stronger as Wasp 4.50.

The release date of Wasp 5.0 NN will be this year!

*** Lc0 0.28.0 CPU-dnnl & Lc0 0.28.0 CPU-onednn ***

Lc0 0.28.0 is very special?!

With AVX512f instruction Lc0 0.28.0 CPU-onednn is two times faster as Lc0 0.28.0 CPU-dnnl.
Furthermore, Lc0 0.28.0 CPU-onednn have the bigger net and is more intelligent.

For FCP-Tourney-2022 I will used Lc0 0.28.0 CPU-dnnl on both tournament systems:

1. 10th Generation Intel® Core™ i9-10900K
2.
AMD Ryzen™ 9 5950X

*.sto file (Shredder GUI tournament configuration file) will be load via network.
The engine main configuration must be the same!

Note:
Two additional test-runs (round-robin) will be play:

Lc0 0.28.0 CPU-onednn vs. 40 opponents:
The first additional test-run vs. 40 opponents with 6 cores, during FCP Tourney-2022 is still running on my
third system.

3. 11th Generation Intel® Core™ i5-11600K (processor with AVX512f instruction, of course 4.4Ghz is possible).

Unclear yet is the configuration for Lc0 0.28.0 on RTX 3070-TI.
Information about a second additional test-run vs. 40 opponents I will give later.

*** Engine configuration, Test-Tourney 1 ***

1. The Configuration-2022 detail site is ready.
Of course, engine updates will be added until November 08th, 2021 (tournament start).

2. I am not sure how strong are the following 4 engines (green):
   01. Drofa 3.2.0
   02. Invictus r382
   03. Bit-Genie 9
   04. Counter 3.9
   05. Wasp 4.50 (3069 Elo)
   06. Vajolet2 2.8 (3012 Elo)
   07. Critter 1.6a (2994 Elo)
   08. chess22k 1.14 (2974 Elo)
   09. Demolito 2021-07-09 (I estimate ~ 3020 Elo)
   10. Stash 31.0 (I estimate ~ 3040 Elo)

For FCP Tourney-2022 participated engines must be stronger as Vajolet2 2.8 = 3012 Elo.

I started a small tourney on Intel® Core™ i9-10900K. 4.4Ghz, FCP Tourney-2022 conditions.
Each one against each other, 50 games per match = 2.250 tournament games, 450 games per engines to play.

LIVE mode with FTP client tool "Fling Plus".
Updated each 30 minutes!
Tournament time ~ 11 days, ~ 225 games per day!
Start: September 11th, 2021 (11:00)

https://www.amateurschach.de/fling/test-1-for-fcp-tourney-2022.pgn (Shredder GUI PGN file)

- after 83 of 450 games I changed the setting for Wasp 4.50 from contempt = 0 (standard) to contempt = 8

*** Ratings, stats, organization ***

1. For the FCP Tourney-2022, I'll be working on a new Configuration-2022 page next week.
I had offered such a site for FCP Tourney-2021. On the Hostix web-stat administration (Internet provider)
it becomes clear that the idea was popular.
Thanks "Modern Times (TalkChess user)" for the TIP:
With ZEN3, BMI2 compiles working fine.

2. Wilhelm Hudetz created a logo for our FCP-Tourney idea.
Very nice work by Wilhelm, thanks!

3. During October 2021 I have no time for computer-chess, no updates on my website will be available.
The reason I can start not before November 08th, 2021.

I am working and I am slow because I am in _chess-book reading mode_?
Have to change that in _website working mode_!

*** 2 systems, organization ***

I will use an Intel® Core™ i9-10900K & AMD Ryzen™ 9 5950X system for my next FCP Tourney-2022!
26 x 4.4Ghz cores can run (Intel = 10 cores, AMD = 16 cores, + RTX 3070-Ti).

With 4.9Ghz (used for FCP Tourney-2021) the Intel system isn't soundless and to many energies needed.
The new AMD system has been ordered and will be available in approx. 10-15 days. I will test it later.
To compare the Intel & AMD system with 4.4Ghz makes sense, thinking about electricity costs also makes sense.

To expensive, temperature with 4.9Ghz is too high, system isn't soundless!
Intel® Core™ i9-10900K
with 4.9Ghz = 10 Cores full throttle / average degrees = 84 / VID 1.30V / max. 164 Watt

Energy and temperature with 4.4Ghz look good for me, system is soundless!

Intel® Core™ i9-10900K
with 4.4Ghz = 10 Cores full throttle / average degrees = 66 / VID 1.20V / max. 104 Watt

Wasp-Bench:
4.9Ghz, Wasp 4.50 Modern x64
bench with 1 Core = total time=  62.31 seconds, nodes= 138240203, nps= 2218410
4.4Ghz, Wasp 4.50 Modern x64 bench with 1 Core = total time=  73.55 seconds, nodes= 138240203, nps= 1879632

18% faster = 60 Watt more?

I have to switch the time control!
= 40 moves in 12 minutes (FCP Tourney-2021, 4.9Ghz) + 18% = 40 moves in 14 minutes (FCP Tourney-2022, 4.4Ghz)

Comparison to my new Dell XPS-13 9310 Ultrabook!
With ThrottleStop I activated Intel® Turbo-Boost technique (Bios setting is deactivated by Dell).

The maximum output can be increased from 3.0Ghz to 3.3Ghz with all 4 cores!
With two cores 3.6Ghz works fine.

Intel® Core™ i7-1185G7 with 3.3Ghz = 04 Cores full throttle / average degrees = 76 / VID 0.89V / max.  24 Watt

Wasp-Bench:
3.3Ghz, Wasp 4.50 Modern x64 bench with 1 Core =
total time= 107.13 seconds, nodes= 138240203, nps= 1290361

I am very happy with the 1.20kg Dell XPS 13 9310 Ultrabook.
A fantastic 13.4 OLED touch display! Sound is great, Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics is great, very fast card reader!
Perfect for organizing the next FCP Tourney-2022, replaced my old HP 15.6 Intel® Core™ i5-5200U Notebook.

*** Announcement, organization ***

Wasp by John Stanback will be participating with a new release version.
The first Neural Network version with an own NN file.
Klaus Wlotzka will be working again on Excel files during the tournament is still running.
For LIVE mode FTP client software Fling-Plus is a very good solution.
